OK, I HAVE TO KNOW...WHY A PLASTIC CUP??

First off, it’s not plastic. It’s eco-friendly bioplastic—a material that produces less CO2 than most petrochemical plastics. And because bioplastic is derived from a renewable source—plants—our cups are sustainable.

We source our PLA from NatureWorks and the bioplastic cups are manufactured by Fabri-Kal. For more information please visit their sites.

A 2010 study published by the University of Pittsburgh states NatureWorks' PLA is the material most in keeping with the standards of green design. The study can be found here: http://www.news.pitt.edu/news/Landis_polymers_LCA

Furthermore, we are not limited to printing on just bioplastic. We can print on all sorts of surfaces and materials, so stay tuned for future beverage lines.

BUT STILL...WHY A CUP? WHY NOT A CAN OR BOTTLE?

Four reasons: 1) it reduces the carbon footprint created by the added energy costs of transporting liquid, 2) it allows you to access the drink flavor of your choice without having to store or carry cans around, 3) the cup allows you to easily add any liquid to your drink, making it the most customizable beverage on the planet, and 4) It’s a convenient, lightweight vessel that reduces your personal storage and transportation requirements.

WHAT IS SMART TECHNOLOGY, ANYWAY?

Smart Cups Technology™ is the name for the proprietary process that allows us to print active and flavor materials on the inside of the cup—which gives us the unique ability to deliver a precise mixture of ingredients in each and every beverage.

IS MY PURCHASE GOING TO SIGN ME UP FOR SOME SORT OF SUBSCRIPTION?

Absolutely not. We have subscription options, if you would like one, but a one-time purchase will NOT automatically enroll you in a subscription plan. 

WHAT DO I DO IF I DON’T LIKE THE FLAVOR I ORDERED?

We understand that taste is subjective. Fortunately, Smart Cups is customizable! If you don’t like your Smart Cups flavor, we suggest experimenting with other liquids like juice, tea or sparkling water. If that still doesn’t work for you, contact us at Orders@smartcups.com and we’ll help resolve the situation.

HOW MUCH WATER SHOULD I ADD?

Simply fill the cup to the ridgeline at the top of the cup and watch the ingredients dissolve into the water. For a more intense flavor, you can add less liquid. 

HOW DO I CUSTOMIZE MY BEVERAGE?

The best part of Smart Cups is how customizable they are! Add in any liquid of your choice to change the flavor, or add some sparkle! HOW LONG UNTIL IT IS READY TO DRINK?

We recommend that you wait until the ingredients are completely dissolved before enjoying.

Not to worry! While in the checkout page, be sure to click the "Apply" button after entering in the promo code. You should be able to see your discount reflected in your shopping cart, before you check out. HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR SMART CUPS' REWARDS PROGRAM?

All you need is a Smart Cups account! Click on the Profile icon (next to the Shopping Cart icon), click "Create Account" and fill in your information. It's as simple as that! Once that's completed, rewards points start accruing with every purchase you make. You can also earn points by "rewards actions", like following our social media accounts, and even referring friends! Our rewards program is also tiered, so the more you buy- the better the rewards!
